IMIA Interpreter Service Provider (ISP) ListServe
IMIA's listserve provides a forum to facilitate communication among Interpreter Service Provider (ISP) members. IMIA’s listserve is open to all members who would like to subscribe. Each month, expired members will be removed from the listserve.
We request that all IMIA ISP listserve participants keep their comments focused on topics related to the medical interpreting profession. This is the first national listserve composed primarily of medical interpreters, or healthcare interpreters, as we are sometimes called. The purpose of the listserve is to give members the opportunity to learn from each other, post queries and have open discussions about the practice of our profession.
We will not allow our listserves to be used for commercial purposes. That includes utilizing this discussion group to promote your organization or services, or products. Events such as workshops and conferences can and should be shared with the group. We also discourage postings that ask the group to poll or rate a particular organization, service, or product.
Last, we are prohibited by antitrust law from sharing any postings that discuss the rates a professional should or shouldn't charge as that is considered to be price fixing.
